“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead
Did you know that the United Nations estimates over 6 million tonnes of plastic debris enters the world’s oceans every year?
Help us to stop this from happening and to protect animals such as this cutie from harm: Every little bit helps!
Australia’s iconic beaches have been left devastated by ex-cyclone Oswald after it ripped down the nation’s east coast over the Australia Day long weekend and we desperately need your help to restore them to their original pristine condition.
Beaches all along the Queensland coast and in Northern New South Wales are now in ruin, with debris and rubbish covering what’s left of the sand and threatening marine life living in and around the ocean.
If you live in or near any of the affected areas, we urge you to help clean this mess up. Please gather your friends, family or whole community together, head down to your local beach and start picking up rubbish – even if it is just three pieces each.
Every little bit counts and will go a long way in ensuring that our nation’s most recognised natural landmarks and marine life are preserved and kept safe for future generations to come.
Be a part of the solution to marine pollution – today!
